Golden Teacher is the baseline line with which most collections start. Aztec God is a Mexican cubensis with dense, fast colonisation. DC Mak belongs to a different family: it is an isolation from the Melmac line, and Melmac comes from the Penis Envy group. A different mycelium structure, a different colonisation rhythm, different material to examine.<\/p>\n The Full Auto format stays the same: a closed system with a growbag and a filter, with no daily airing or misting. You observe the DC Mak mycelium, document the structure of the block and compare it with classic cubensis lines.<\/p>\n The product is legal in Poland as material for observation, education and collecting. The kit contains mycelium. At the time of purchase, the mycelium does not contain psilocybin. Fruiting bodies of psilocybin mushrooms are illegal.<\/p>\n DC Mak – also written as DC MAK or Melmac DC – is an isolation from the Melmac line. Melmac itself is a variant of the widely known Penis Envy line. In mycological circles, Melmac is associated with the work of Homestead in the 1980s; the name was meant to refer to the fictional planet from the series “Alf”. The further selection that produced DC Mak is attributed to a mycologist known by the initials DC.<\/p>\n This is not an old, “wild” cubensis from Florida or from Popocat\u00e9petl. It is a laboratory line: a further isolation of features already clearly marked in the Penis Envy \/ Melmac family. Hence a few constant points keep coming back in descriptions: denser tissue, a smaller cap relative to the stem, a sparser spore drop than in Golden Teacher.<\/p>\n The exact selection path – as with many modern isolations – is not fully public. For a collector, one distinction is enough: the DC Mak growkit is material from the Melmac family, not yet another label on an ordinary cubensis.<\/p>\n If you already have Golden Teacher on the shelf, DC Mak makes sense as a contrast. Not as “the same kit under a different name”.<\/p>\n DC Mak mycelium often grows differently from classic cubensis. In the Penis Envy \/ Melmac line, colonisation tends to be slower, but denser and more compact. The block is not always covered with an even, fluffy network as with Golden Teacher. More often you see a thicker, creamy-white mass that takes over the substrate in patches, but solidly.<\/p>\n In collectors’ descriptions, the DC Mak line has a fairly constant set of features:<\/p>\n For microscopic observation, this sparseness of spores can even be convenient: the material is rarer in shops, and the structure of the hyphae and the density of the mycelium give a different picture from the “teacher” lines.
