True Albino Teacher

True Albino Teacher (TAT) is a legendary, stabilised variety of Psilocybe Cubensis that descends directly from Golden Teacher. Valued for its snow-white, albino morphology and high genetic stability, it is considered one of the “kings of albinos” in the world of observational mycology. True Albino Teacher is a classic among albino strains – visually very different, and at the same time easy to handle thanks to its availability as a GrowKit Full Auto.

Characteristics:

• Appearance: True Albino Teacher fruiting bodies are medium-sized and completely white – both the cap and the stem lack pigment. Sometimes delicate, bluish bruising can be seen, especially where damaged. The gills stay pale from the beginning to the end of the life cycle. As an albino variety, TAT produces no spores, or does so to a minimal, almost invisible degree.

• Origin: True Albino Teacher was isolated and stabilised by the mycologist Jik Fibs, who discovered naturally occurring albinos in a Golden Teacher culture. After about a year of work, he obtained a fully stable genetic line that keeps the traits of Golden Teacher but has a completely different, white phenotype. Today TAT is regarded as one of the most stable and distinctive albino varieties of Psilocybe Cubensis.

• Use: TAT is an ideal subject for microscopic research and biological observation. Thanks to its high stability, dynamic development and complete lack of pigment, it is perfect for documenting colonisation processes and mutations.
